Carry on…

I’m really enjoying my Hero’s Journal Side Quest Deck. Today I drew a card that said “Continue as you are”. Hmmmm,…

This activity is one I worship – Rearrange a Room. That should be my middle name. I love creating a room with a theme or two popping throughout. Plus it’s my way of recycling and refreshing all my “stuff”. I’ll draw from one room and add a layer or two of comfortableness and welcoming vibes. It excites me and puts my body in a mind set I can move this!

The message “continue as you are” is so powerful. It makes one feel confidence and strength. The sentence serves as a foundation that you can stand strong on. It’s the green light to proceed. Blossom to the person you want to be.  I believe in spreading kindness without highlighting the act. I feel if it’s done with respect and love then it should be a natural occurring process.

So to  the bloggers and readers out there, Carry On it’s Going to be an amazing day!💕

Peace

Bigelow Hollow Adventure

I bought the Hero’s Journal Side Quest Deck. Basically, it helps you with ideas on things to do. You can look it up to understand what and how it works. The website is https://theherosjournal.co/products/istoria-magic-academy-sidequest-deck.  You can also look it up on YouTube.

The description on their website states, “Feeling lost on your journey? Does it feel like you’re in a creative rut? Not sure what you should do on your quest? Introducing 52 side quests for your journey.

The Istoria Magic Academy SideQuest deck is a collection of cards designed to give you helpful things to do, when you may not know what to do.

The SideQuests are organized into 4 categories: Learn, Create, Rest, and Go.”

So I Tried it today. This is the card that I selected from the deck.

Take a walk

So… I went to Bigelow  Hollow today located in Union CT. This state park has an adjoining Nipmuck State Forest spreading over 9,000 acres of lots of hiking trails and an 18-acre pond.  I was informed the park offers activities include boating, cross country skiing, hiking, hunting, picnicking, pond fishing, scuba diving, and snowmobiling.

Of course, in hand I had a Dunkin vanilla bean Coolatta.  Created with water, frozen coffee concentrate (water, sugar, coffee extract, caramel color, natural and artificial flavors) Light cream: milk, cream, disodium phosphate (stabilizer), sodium citrate (stabilizer). Mmhhh, it was very good. Especially, while it was in the 90’s today. Perfect choice of drink for me.

I actually floated for a while on inner tube and then nice walk back to car with floaties.  Missed the lake smell…the grounds are amazing. My day was embraced with a warm sense of nostalgia, when I was a kid floating in a pond with no worries.

Then on the way home, stopped for tukey apple, brie, panini at Crossroads restaurant. Great food and service was amazing.

So that was my adventure for the day. I’m hoping it is one of many. I actually scheduled this time in for me. I’m finding it’s important to play from time to time, if you can. So maybe you can schedule some time for you in your hectic schedules.

Peace…

Quest

I feel so fortunate to share my personal life quests though this blog. As for all of us, life continues to unfold. The whirl wind of ideas swirl in my mind. The topics range from fixing up my home for sustainability to where to travel to what to read to what kindness act can I do today.

i strive very hard to remain positive about life even though it’s so easy to get drawn in to negativity.  I truly believe that success is felt in the soul and though the people and animals we love.

I have a tendency to get off the path and quest for something new and exciting. I think that spirit keeps me going. Pondering and discovering and foraging is part of growth.

I wish everyone today a moment of happiness and joy.  Ponder and feel the happiness and pass it on. My friend always says, “what you give comes back over and over if it’s given with love and good intentions.”

Peace

Discovering Foraging…

Pre post – im drafting a few paragraphs of how I feel when I forge. Jim, has taken lots of pics that I plan to post here also. So by me committing to drafting this post – I’ll follow though because I keep my word.

So I’m the type of girl (yes girl) who lives in flip flops. So the most difficult transition for me was to switch from flip flops to hiker boots. Well, between you and me, I prefer flip flops. However, as George says “safety first.”  So once I learned how to actually walk in my hiking boots – after a few falls and twist – I can say I have converted.  Don’t get me wrong – I grab my flip flops first but when I forge,  hiking boots become my best friend. So the advice I can share is cuteness important, however safety comes first. Oh my, I  sound like George!!!oh no.

Another rule I practice is – always forge with someone or let your BBF know where you are going and when you are coming back.  Believe me it cuts back from the drama for sure.

Of course,  I needed a forging bag. So I elected to buy one that serves as a backpack also and is cute. Sorry, I’m a Tomboy but a girlie girl at heart. Brought from smile.amazon.com and pics from their site.

Now where do I decide to go…talk with a few foragers and went on their advice.

I’m always on the look out for poison ivy, poison oak or bees in ground – ALWAYS.  Plus, I carry a horn to scare bears off.

Ok I’ll will continue in a bit….peace for now!

P.S. I also went on a few hikes – such a wonderful way to breath and explore. I’ll post some pics from those hikes.

Hello

I am a new blogger and I have lots to learn.  I’m grateful that WordPress offers online blogger classes.  I plan to sign up soon. Here is my first time attempt to blogging.

Kelly paintingHelp make this a fun journey, I’m always open to suggestions. Please be sure to explore all web pages. This is a work in progress website that brings joy and happiness to all who want to play and or shop. I’ve spent many mornings for years planning a new art starting business. Actually, I’ve thought of hundreds of hours brainstorming and my results are too many ideas making it hard to pin point. However, I believe though this blog, I will find my passion and grow with you as my business grows.

I’m excited to start and plan to read your blogs and grow.  The new kid on the block! Yikes
